“Tarantula on Fire”

Clear nights have been few and far between in Sydney over the past 6 weeks or so and doesn’t look like improving for some time yet.

Decided to reprocess another version of my Tarantula Nebula I captured at the end of October using Startools version 1.8 with an SHO OHS colour mapping preset.

I call it my “Tarantula on Fire”

Absolutely no Scientific Value in regards to colour but it’s nice to fiddle around with Narrowband data and have a bit of fun to produce a version with a little bit of Wow factor.

Astrobin link below ……

Whilst the nights have been cloudy , I took the time to created a new Dark Library, cleaned all my mirrors and so on …..
Summer !!!!

Thanks for looking
Comments welcome

Hi Martin,
yes - I think it's an improvement on your many previous versions here:

The Tarantula is an exciting nebula to experiment on for processing.
I'm trying to twist Mike's arms to do other versions
but he's too strong for me.

cheers
Allan

Thanks Allan,
Just a bit of fun this image
December is looking a lot like November (Non Astro months on the mid to south east coast of NSW )
Plenty of other things to enjoy but I was just getting my teeth into a new Mono set up too.
I’ve never seen consistent super high humidity through November and December in Sydney for a long time ( evenings have been +90% most nights )
I’m down at my retirement getaway (Dome) through January with family so hopefully some clearer nights on the South Coast.
Yes we dare not twist Mikes arm, he’s not called Strongman Mike for nothing

Cheers
Martin
