Hercules & Atlas

Hercules & Atlas-
I thought they made a lovely pairing as I panned around the moon last night - scrubbed up ok which was a bonus as the seeing was rapidly deteriorating.

c14 non edge

asi178mm (IR685 filter)
ASICAP
AS!3
Registax6

You'll have to forgive me for a few stacking artefacts around the edges as I thought the framing was much nicer with the widest possible view.

Got a few more to churn through from the evening but processing with my poor old MSsurface is quite slow these days lol.

Thanks for looking

Excellent Atlas and Hercules, wonderfully sharp and great resolution, C14s really are very good at lunar and planetary imaging.

Very nice David, looks like the detailed views the astronauts would have enjoyed as they orbited the Moon.

Cheers

Thanks guys much appreciated! Got a few more still to sort through but just can’t seem to get the processing right. This one just came out nice and really natural without hardly any fiddling at all. Surprising cause the seeing was getting quite iffy by the time I took this and I didn’t really like what I was seeing on the screen- earlier the views with the binoviewers were seriously to die for!
