The Milky Way - South, and UFO

Hey all,

Another shot from the weekend of the 19th May. This one showing much more foreground, the Milky Way coming up from the ground, and what I can only presume is a plane doing a u-turn!

I don't understand the light from the plane. The location that I was at is frequented by planes flying to/from the eastern states, but they never turn around in that area! And it's far too far from Perth for a holding circle pattern. Still, it must be a plane.

Not a bad shot in all, but as per all my current shots, lacking colour in the Milky Way due to the Un-modified state of my 350D.

Yes can see the coalsack and Eta carina well. The plane looks to be turning very tightly indeed. Scott
