Have a scope upgrade :)

After much research and window shopping, purchased the celestron 925 edge hd. Waited 2 weeks for the m48 t-adaptor.

It's attached to my previous imaging train.

Clear nights over the weekend so hopefully I will tune the autofocusing, platesolving and guiding.

Looking forward to this next challenge.

Merry XMAS everyone.

So Spent last night sorting all the essentials. Focusing and platesolving is all sorted. Also managed to focus the OAG as well. When it came to phd2 it would calibrate the RA but the stars would not move enough for Dec calibration. This was never a problem for my ed80. It states I should calibrate above or below -20 or 20. What happens if I do not have that option due to my horizon?

My guide cam is a qhy290m and I am using a qhy OAG.

Cheers guys and Merry XMAS

That's a wicked cool present. . How did Santa get it down the chimney??

Can't help with PHD2, I'm afraid. Hopefully you get it sorted out quickly to take advantage of the clear nights that are on their way.

Cheers,
V

Just to close the loop.

Got it guiding working. Just had to increase the step size.

Now to shoot something obscure with first light.
