Batteries for Tak illuminated finder.

Finding batteries for my sole Tak illuminated finder has in the past been a bit of an exercise, especially given that I reside in Laos most of the time. They are small, uncommon, and expensive. On occasion, I have forgotten to turn off the illuminator and added to the problem. Most times only learning too late (at the beginning of an observation run) that they are flat.
As luck would have it, I learnt today that my hearing aid batteries 312 size will act as a replacement for what I had been using in the past. The air zinc 312 have a very long shelf life before activation, and are now quite common and easy to find. As part of a maintenance arrangement I have with my audiologist, these batteries are provided ‘free’ as part of that program.
Others may find benefit from my discovery.
