Astronomy Books to a Good Cause

Hi Guys

For the last few days I have been getting stuff out of the storage shed, and as some of you may know it has been there some part of ten years as we Alice and I have been traveling.

To Keep a long story short, I unpacked the 120 plus Astronomy Books collected over the last 50 years and just looked at them, and said in my brain, " what the hell are you going to do with these"

Seeing my kids are middle age and don't appreciate anything old and just chuck it away I decided to donate the entire collection to someone that may appreciate it when I'm dead.

I rang up The Ballarat Astronomical Society, and they were thrilled to receive a collection of that kind.

So as of Friday next week they will have the lot for others to enjoy as time goes on.

All Books have been Cataloged by name and Author, the date printed and when first published, this maybe helpful to the recipient

It feels so good to give

Better than my kids giving it all to the Op Shop when I'm dead

Leon

PS, Oh yea by the way that is my XP Lappy of some 22 Years remember the one LOL

The problem I think is one has had his father pass away, a family dispute re assets and getting his house sold.
I found the money order was not cashed and stopped payment and mate two is to bring the lappy up on his next trip to help me.
