Hi all,

Here's my latest image
Taken over six nights over the last month. Total integration is just shy of 20 hours from my bortle 8 backyard. My first time out with my new GPU f4 coma corrector. Overall I'm pretty happy with the result

High res: https://www.astrobin.com/full/84afro/0/?mod=&real=

Cheers

Ryan,
Nice M17 with plenty of detail exposed
You certainly poured some hours into this capture
Well done !!
One observation though, your stars core appear to be slightly triangular or odd shaped ( not circular or round ) which could be a pinched mirror ? Doesn’t look like coma.
Maybe a sampling, resolution and binning issue ?
In any case a fine image nonetheless
Cheers

Cheers Martin,

The odd shaped stars appeared at some point during sharpening in my processing although they are not nearly as bad in the full res version. More work to be done but slowly slowly I feel like I’m making progress.

Cheers

Ryan
