Focal Reducer - housing finished

Finally have my new focal reducer housing finished. This allows the optics of the focal reducer to slide in to a 2" draw tube. Picture attached.

Quite a simple bit of aluminium but still took a while to organise. Ran through 2 prototypes made from nylon first too. Helps having a neighbour that does this stuff!

I have the F/6.3 optics in there at the moment, but it's ended up closer to the camera than planned so I may be better off with the F/3.3 optics in there, I will do some trial and error. It fits both.

The LX's electronics are due back on monday or tuesday. I'm really looking forward to having it all up and running. Just testing out the camera today to check the filter wheel spins OK etc has got me wanting to get back in to the CCD work.
