Yet more over-rated junk

Someone told me I should watch The Witcher (now apparently in it's second season). So, I did. Well, tried to. I have heard the Polish original books are awful, and the series isn't much better in my opinion.

By the 4th episode TRYING to binge watch it to get it over and done with I was literally falling in and out of consciousness - so yawn-tastic. By the second last episode I had to go back 2 episodes to catch up what was going on, which was fruitless because each episode ties into basically nothing - ZERO continuity except for the Mage girl. The rest waffles and piffles off in absurd directions, all to the grunt of Superman...errr, I mean the Witcher. The back-and-forth through time to show prior events just befuddled the already unfocused story even more. And I seem to assume that eels are unsuccessful Mages. OK...yup.

Yawn. More yawns. Dream land.

I sometimes like fantasy, but this one.... makes the finale of Game of Thrones look like a masterpiece of cinematography

I prefer this over Game of Thrones which was the most overrated show I’ve ever had the displeasure to watch
The Witcher isn’t amazing but for me, I enjoy watching it

IMDB rates it at 8.2/10 .. would ratings lie to you? And I refuse to listen to anyone talk bad about me beloved Daenerys .. Queen of Meereen, Queen of the Andals (, the Rhoynar) and the First Men, Lady Regnant of the Seven Kingdoms, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Mhysa, Breaker of Chains, the Unburnt, Mother of Dragons

I enjoyed The Witcher, and most of the Game of Thrones. It was the last 2 or 3 seasons of GoT that went to crap, especially the last season.

IMDB...but considering what passes for entertainment and good in America now, I'd tend to ignore that rating.

Maybe a 4/10 if I am being generous. Seriously incoherent and scattered to the 4 winds...

Yet Ramin Djawadi's music for Game of Thrones remained excellent till the end.

We all have different tastes.

Personally, I found trying to make sense of some things that didn't make sense in The Witcher annoying, in an otherwise interesting but sometimes odd show. And then I was utterly delighted when the last episode made all the troublesome things that hadn't made sense.....actually make sense.

i still don't understand why a Queen would lead an Army from the front though.
A. She can't be that strong in sword fights against a typical male, and
B. If she gets taken out, her side loses.

Regards,
Renato

You did better than me. I watched the first episode and gave up at that point.

Witcher took a few episodes to get going, but there were some quite amazing episodes from half way in that took directions you didn't expect. Looking forward to 2nd series.

Well I quite enjoyed the Witcher - not amazing, but enjoyable. GOT had four and 1/2 seasons that were incredible, but sadly fell away very badly when the script writers ran out of original material.

yes the Witcher they decided to try and do an alternate timeline thing which eventually joins up and makes sense, although I really think it added more confusion than it was worth as it isn't so obvious when the episode you are watching occurs. the video game was way better (witcher 3 - although it took me 3 goes to actually get into it, but then it was amazing).

Hello,

Not sure if this is just for sci-fi or time wasters, but "Task Master" is a good series. Some better than other depending on who's in it. But a good comedy on SBS to binge/watch.

Juan of the Undead for movies, Cuban version has great anti-hero's in it.
