[SOLD] Celestron 8i SE Nexstar - $500!!

Hey Gang, I'm back on the coast for a week and brought some items I bought at the school's tender auction. Turns out, I was the only bid and won both a 8SE and 9.25" SCT. I've sold the 9.25" so the only thing that's remaining is the 8SE.

It's the "special edition" 8i. Whatever that means. The optics are pretty fantastic. No scratches or fungus or mold. There are some small dust debris from being kept in storage but nothing that affects optics in anyways and can easily be cleaned.

The mount itself turns on but returns a no response error on the hand controller (error code 17 which means the motors aren't responding). It could be an easy fix, or not. Either way, I'm excluding the cost of the mount from the price but it is included if you want to fix it up.

It comes with the official Celestron hard case (in itself worth hundreds of dollars) and an incomplete ( eyepieces + barlow) eyepiece set with some colour filters (that aren't worth a damn).

I found an erecting prism in lieu of a working diagonal but eh.

The price? This is the best part guys... hold on to your socks.

Pick up only from the GC as the price of this is probably cheaper than freight.

If you buy this along with the evolution mount that I have for sale (easy as deforking, and screwing on some dove tails), I'll let both go for $1400. This is cheaper than any 8SE I've seen for sale let alone an Evolution mount with an 8" SCT (which is double the price of Nexstar SE Mount)
