EFTPOS Scams

Hi Guys

Just a quick heads up If It hasn't come up here before.

I found 4 eftpos transactions on my saving account for March/April which I don't believe were me.

All 4 done from a company calling themselves QUALITY FOOD COMPLIANC......no idea how you pull off an eftpos scam but hey there you go.

So be careful guys and check those smaller amounts debited from your account via eftpos to make sure It was you.

Stay Well everyone!

Did your bank give you a refund?

The same thing happened to my wife and the bank refunded the transactions no questions asked.

Also don’t ever hand over your debit/credit card to anyone!
About 4 blokes at work got done while working in Sydney buying food.
Unto known to them they had a camera above the cashier desk and they noticed the cashier flipping the card over when purchase items recording your 3 numbers on the back! So basically they have your details for a later purchase. (Police notified)

Received a phone call at 10pm from the Fraud section of my Bank saying that someone was trying to change the passwords to my accounts. They some way had the membership number and had got in and transferred a small amount between accounts .. apparently as a test for bigger things. I suspected that my email account may have been compromised but not sure so the Fraud Team member suggested I get a new email account. Can you even get an email account separate from an ISP? I concur .. Dishonesty is one of the lowest forms of life!

You can use any email account you want
Open up. Gmail account and use that solely for your banking and nothing else.
