GUM-15 / RCW 32 in Ha - Updated version with more data

I got a few more nights of data on this target, all around the full moon. From the total of about 14.5 hours of data, I weeded out via SubframeSelector to use a bit over 13 hrs worth.

The framing is unusual, but that's because I had to crop some of the integration boundaries in the bottom left and I really wanted to keep as much of the top portion as I could (it's the edge of GUM 14).

Feel free to comment on the processing. I was trying out some new (to me) processing techniques in PI (details on Astrobin) so perhaps it could be better.

Thanks Marc. When the target is back in a favourable position for me I'd like to add some colour to it. Not sure if I'll do a NB mix or HaRGB (or the classic - 'why not both?').

So this discussion led me to have a search around. I can't find many images of GUM 15 and of those I found there doesn't seem to be much else there than the hydrogen emission. But, I will try for OIII sometime to see. I might try for a test shot even though it's poorly placed for me right now.

You could try IR or Sii. Anything that is far enough from the Ha line to give you some variety with chosing a color palette.

I'll try SII as well (don't have an IR filter).

Managed a couple of test shots last night with the wispy clouds around. There's no OIII that I could find, but some SII does exist, so that will be the target when I can get it.

What's a good colour palate for a bicolor Ha + SII?

R = SII
G = Ha
B = ?

Or?
