What exactly does thread moved mean.

Does it actually mean it has been moved to somewhere else for some reason, and can only be viewed by mysterious privileged people, or does it simply mean that it has been closed?

It is moved to wherever the Mods can review it, delete it or return it.

Trying to keep these kinds of threads open here on IIS is bound to lead to disappointment. I guess the site was never intended to be a venue to vent our displeasure about things non-astronomical..... there are other more appropriate venues for that like Twatter, Feasebook, etc.

Venting here has no effect on the powers that be......

EDIT:
I look forward to the day that the site's focus is once again on astronomy, in the meantime please stay safe and think of those who have lost everything.......
I have three family members whose houses are at the moment in the direct path of major fires, I cannot even help them as the roads to their towns are closed....

Yes.
One of the moderators has moved it out of G.Chat and is not visible to members any longer.
Also received complaints about the thread by other members.
These types of threads go out of control very quickly and cross the TOS.
