Great detail in the dust lane, Eric. It is nice to have new wall paper for the 'puter.

Ah Cen A, my favourite...well one of them

The galaxy colours look spot on Eric.

There seem to be gradients and a dust mote so it looks like you need flats?

You may need to layer the central regions to prevent burning that area out and to reveal more detail in the core and dust lane?

Very nice image though

Mike

Very nice image Eric.

Like Mike.S said you can take care of the dust mote and gradients via flats.
But you've done very well, now get some sleep.

Ah Eric, staying up to try and beat the moon hey!
Good effort with this, one of my favorite galaxies.
I have to agree with Mike Sid and Andrew in that you do have some gradient issues/ dust mote to deal with here. (I'm sure you're aware of this)
Through stretching with gradients it's given the background an uneven blue/ green tinge.
Was the moon still up ?? Guess it was.
Did you do any dark subtraction ??
As mentioned, flats would be the answer to help here.
Good get though.......

So you picked up a C10 hey, how are you liking this scope?

Thanks for sharing
Cheers
Rich

cheers guys thanks for your reply.

mike, no flats nor darks were subtracted from this image. I know i should at least do some darks naughty me.. I think the cause from the dust gradient was my processing skills.
rich, the C10 or NGT-10 does a fine job esp with a fast F4.7 ratio great for imaging. However since it is still a newt, i noticed abit of flexture carrying the ED80 as well on the EQ6. great processing also ken. no worries at all .

thanks everyone.
