Herschel Galaxy search # 3
Herschel Galaxy Search Report Part # 3 19/02/07
13:40 UT 23:40 AEST
40Cm F4.5 Truss newtonian
NGC5108.Mag 14.2. With a 13mm Nagler is Small round brighter in the middle, with a 2xBarlow a slight elongation is apparent, with a Celestron 5mm X-Cel eyepiece this is confirmed.
With 2 12-13mag stars makes a triangle, it seemed much brighter than the 14.2 given magnitude.
Seeing 8-10 trans 7-10.
The long time between the start of the observing challenge and finish is due to bad weather and the time the last object was at a reasonable altitude to be observed with some clarity.
All of the 24 galaxies have been observed on more occasions than reported on this thread, to confirm my original observations.
Thanks to Glenc for the challenge
