SIKHOTE-ALIN Iron/Nickel meteorite.
This spectacular individual, with its blue-gray fusion crust remaining and just a slight hint of patina.
This specimen has a fantastic sculptural shape, well defined regmaglypts and, to top it all off, flow lines.
Witnessed fall February 12, 1947
Sikhote-Alin is easily most collectors favorite meteorite. The Sikhote-Alin shower of 1947 took place in a remote area of eastern Russia and was the largest single meteoritic event documented in modern times. It is an extremely rare witnessed fall.
