well l finally did it, l bought a Dob.
to quote a member of our forum " real men push their scopes " l hope l am worthy.
this should make a great addition to the SCT to be used for general sky touring and to track down those faint fuzzies with the star charts, something l have neglected due to the ease of go-to.
my intention is to eventually fork mount the OTA via tube rings which l will remake in aluminium and fit a new Event Horizon focuser and peltier cooler.
l'm sure l will have a lot of fun with this scope now that l am a member of the Dob family
