Screw size?? Meade Lx200 dec cover

Anyone know what is the correct size of the small screws that hold the plastic cover on the dec drive?? Assume its a unc thread?? I need a couple of replacements.

LOL! A Bucks Gears installation?

Do what I did and space the available screws out over the area.......

Then... please let me know if you find out the replacement screw size.

No Buck's gears?!
Just wanted to check out the dec drive arrangement on the LX200 classical but found the screws on the cover missing/ damaged! Now need to replace.
May have to take one of the old ones to the local screw "specialist".

I'd be guuessing at 6g unc. Can you measure the diameter of one, not to a micron, but fairly accurately? We can go from there. I have a classic 200, but it is stored in its carton sulking at present.

Measured the screws:
diam 2.78mm
length 6mm
button head socket screw
They seem to be close to a #4/40 UNC but I'll have to confirm.
If anyone has more info, please let me know.
When finalised I'll get a couple of dozen, for myself and others!!!

4g-40unc sounds like it would be right based on your measurement. It wont be metric or BA or any other exotic thread coming from the US.
cheers,
Doug

Spare screws.

OK I've ordered a dozen screws. #4/40 UNC, if they fit as expected I can supply "spares" to other members with similar LX200 problems.
