For you budding Astrophotographers, up for sale is a GSO 8" F8 Ritchey–Chrétien (RC) Astrograph Telescope.
It is excellent condition apart from a little dust on the mirrors, no major scratches on the paintwork etc.
"Why am I selling", well last year I brought this from a fellow iceinspacer with the intention of mounting it on my EQ6 that I have at a dark site, but the EQ6 turned into an EQ8 and now has a much larger telescope sitting on it, so the 8" RC has been gathering dust in my study since I purchased it (still in the original package sent to me).
I'm selling this as a complete package and will not split it, unless someone only wants the OTA.
What comes with the package is as follows:
1. GSO 8" F8 RC OTA (No Finder, but does have a finder bracket not show in the picture).
2. Moonlite Focuser.
3. Collimation Ring.
4. Installed kendrick secondary heater, to control dew (you will need to get a controller for it, or make your own)
5. Howie Glatter Laser for collimation.
6. Takahashi collimation microscope plus adapter ring (essential for collimation of these beasties)
7. Varying size spacers, to allow a camera to be attached at the correct focal distance.
8. Top and bottom vixen style dovetail rails
If you only want the GSO 8" F8 RC OTA plus the spacers and collimation ring it is $400.
If you want the GSO 8" F8 RC OTA plus the spacers, collimation ring, plus the moolite focuser $600.
If you want the lot, items 1 to 8 $1100, which is around half price new price.
Prices are firm.
I would prefer pick up in Melbourne, but if the buyer is a prepared to pay for postage, then I will send it via pack and send.
