Good seeing vs bad seeing example

Sunspot 923 in a moment of good seeing and typical seeing! Raw Frames 26 and 214 from the same 427 frame avi. The frames will not stack in Registax 4, even using MAPs due to the poor seeing and shearing of image details between frames.

Cheers

Dennis

Gadzooks, that is a huge difference. Suppose the only way is to go through, and weed a few out manually??

wow and you video guys really enjoy this, one shot dslr and heaps of bad shots and you get to snap up the good bits with a video file. maybe one day the video will be as good as DSLR but in real time. contrasting differences in the examples too.

I was looking at this spot visually today, very impressive !
I will be doing a tour of homeland schools here in Arnhem Land this week & the sunspot will certainly be on my must see list for the kids !
