Yes Geoff, i bought one of the Aldi 40AH batteries at last years sale. It is going fine, holds up well. I have it in the observatory where it runs my mount every time i use it, and recharges off a solar controller during the day. I also took it to Bretti, once last year and my last trip out there in February this year. At Bretti it powered the EQ mount each night. No complaints from me.

They were on sale this morning.
I have been turning up at Saturday openings, quiet a turmoil.
Bought a 12 volt fridge which won't be holding cameras ...just food.
So if you want a battery maybe some left today.
Good 2 kva Genny only $500 never worry about running out of power for recharge.
