ID4 Resurgence

Good popcorn movie, impressive visuals. Everything is bigger and badder. Looking forward to Star Trek beyond tomorrow night preview. That looks interesting. Weather in Sydney lends itself to movie watching lately. What's with the temp anyway... 26c yesterday lunch time. wtf? Is winter over?

I remember seeing the original at the cinema and being blown away by the CGI. For 1997, that was incredible what they achieved.

Will go and check this one out for the visuals.

It a fun movie. Enjoyed the ride, 7/10 for me based on the CGI. Seems the next one we will be chasing them..... hmmm maybe they could just add a few new scenes to and then go straight into Promethius, Alien, then Aliens and so on.

Dreadful movie.

Good CGI yes.

Bad acting...... ludicrous storyline.

4/10. Without the CGI element propping it up I'd say 2/10

I watched it with my daughter and didn't want to say anything bad about it in case she enjoyed it, but she thought the same as I did. We both said at the end "Nooooooooooooo, they're going to make another one"

I am looking forward to the next Bourne and Star Trek movies though.

Not the kind of movie to go see and expect a storyline. Were you surprised?
Can't wait for the next one. See what they break next time.

Star trek beyond was pretty good. Enjoyed it a lot. Good story and awesome visuals. They also gave us a poster each.

The first movie is a classic with so many great performances and so many great one liners. It doesn't take itself too seriously with plenty of laughs along the way. There are a lot of great sci-fi movies from the 90's in much the same vein as ID4. Starship Troopers and Men in Black are favourites of mine.

I went and saw Resurgence about 4 weeks ago when I was in Rockhampton. Impressive CGI but that's about where it stopped for me. Instantly forgettable, no memorable moments or dialogue whatsoever. At least they kept (some) of the original actors, unlike the Starship Troopers sequels which were absolutely dreadful.

Not really interested in another sequel to be honest.
