Pricing for Filter wheel and Filters?

Hi all,

I am interested in trying my hand at doing some RGB imaging with my ASI120mm. I am trying to find out the approx cost, second hand, for a set of RGB filters and a filter wheel to suit. I was looking at the ZWO filters and Flilterwheel, and thought this would be a good start. Anyone know how much these would be second hand?

Andrew I have a true tech filter wheel with astronomic filters that you can use for however long you need. Only problem is that you will need a usb to rs232 driver for the adapter that comes with it.

WOW thanks Paul, that would be great, will you be at the Meeting on Wednesday? I have a couple of different Serial to USB adapters that I have used on this machine, would they work too?

Andrew as your looking at 1.25" filters, when you decide to buy, you don't need to go for an expensive solution, especially for that camera. Get a manual filter wheel that you can screw the camera onto directly. ZWO filters are cheap but ok for that camera. If your going to borrow one check how you will attach the camera as some wheels require adaptors.

Yes most likely I will be at the meeting. I bring the filter wheel with me. I don't know if your adapters will work or not. I would think so, but cannot say with any certainty.

The filter wheel at present has an eyepiece adapter one side and a 1.25" insert on the other. It will get your there. The filters are 2". There is software on the True tech site that will run the filter wheel. Fairly simple programme but easy enough for what you need at present.
