Abell S373

I had to re-train myself in the basics of PI but managed to process a heap of subs for this view of the greater part of Abell S373 in Fornax; sometimes known as the Fornax Cluster. NGC 1365 should be immediately recognizable to most. There are at least 20 other galaxies, most of which belong to the same cluster, and the average distance is 62 Mly.

Seeing: fair
2 deg FoV
Nikon D7100
ISO 1250
76 x 1 min with ICNR
Tele Vue 5" refractor
Processed in PI, converted in LR4.

Thanks for looking, Chris

Thanks Russell, Rick, and Mike & Trish.

A future project is to stitch a couple of frames together to get the whole cluster.

Cheers, Chris
