EOI: QHY9 Mono

Having recently expressed my interest to Theo about getting a QHY22, he has mentioned that it'll be a few weeks before it arrives mostly due to the Chinese New Year.

So I am seeing if there is any interest for a QHY9 Mono on its own (no CFW) but with all of the components needed in original box. The camera itself has worked flawlessly since I bought it about 6 months ago. The only part that makes it NOT look brand new is the QHYCCD sticker which is showing some wear and tear. I don't think it likes the elements. Other than that it is in full working order. I believe that it does do -50ºc below ambient, never pushed it that far though. I know it'll do -45ºC below ambient at about 75% cooler power so the cooling is fantastic.

As KAF-8300 cameras go, the QHY9 appears to have the second lowest read noise among other variants, the Moravian(?) being slightly lower. It is a great camera, I just need a read noise nearer to 4 than 9

Will be able to get some pictures up tomorrow hopefully.
Looking at about $1,750 posted in Aus.

Hi Colin
Is this the latest "QHY9S" model?
Would you accept $1500 ?
Regards
Richard

pm sent Rick.

I am almost certain that it is the newer S model as it is only 6 months old. I'll up date this if it isn't though.

Couple of quick pictures I took between jobs last night. Just to reiterate, it is just the QHY9 and not the filter wheel that is for sale The QHY9 faceplate can be removed so that it bolts directly to the filter wheel.
