Software - Programs - Tours

Hi Guys
Last night I was at the ASV club night and they had a computer program that alowed you to see the names of all of the stars that have been charted. It alowed you to zoom in and out from out Solar System and then out to the Galaxy, then further out again.

Does anyone know that name of this software?

I was also told of a more user friendly program than WorldWide Telescope but i cant seem to find it.

Does anyone have some suggestions for the above 2?

I know they run Starry Night on that machine. I was all set to goto the club night but ended up helping a friend do some painting instead.
