M81

52 minutes of M81. Still rather noisy and colour artifacts.
I'm going to try to add another hour worth today.

Nice one. You should calibrate your subs. You'll get rid of hot pixels and vignetting.

m81 is super low? oui? non?
i took a couple of subs of thunors helm last night and deadset noise was off the charts - sensor around 33degs. I think i'm going to have to cool mod somehow.
yours is cooled so i'm thinking you've got a lot to deal with the altitude?

Really nice image, where did you take it from? I looked on sky safari and it is described as a Northen hemisphere object . Never rises in my location and I'm more north than Sydney?

Played with the colors a bit to look more "natural" I think this is as good as it's going to get without a lot more data. Question though, How can I make the stars small dots instead of big round circles?

I use Noel carboni's astronomy tools for photoshop , there's an action there to make stars smaller.
