Eyepiece case casualty

This is what happened after a long observing session last night.
Driving out of the observing field, I feel a bump while driving out on a dirt road. I then stopped to see what it was ( I almost kept going ). I then walked back along the road to find my eyepiece case had fallen out the side door of the van as I did not close it properly. The case was squashed and broken from running over it. I was so lucky I stopped, and so lucky the tyre only caught the edge of the case, as all the contents appear OK. Dont worry, I have given myself an UPPERCUT as punishment. I hate to think what may have happened if I kept driving and lost the other bits and pieces out of the van as well.

After an incident like this you deserve some time in the Sin Bin, so maybe you should send those Denks to me to look after.......

I was next to leave mate. Lucky you stopped to check or else there might have been a heap of eyepieces for sale on the classifieds.

Thx Scott, yeah the contents appear to be undamaged. Lucky huh.

Matti, I was sweating about the Denks when I first opened the case, but all is OK.

Thx Allan, Does that mean I would have had to buy my eyepieces back as punishment. ?

Ouch Geoff! So glad no major damage done to the eyepieces. That case served its purpose, I suppose!
