I have for sale my 8" Newtonian scope (OTA) which is a GS-630 model as detailed below:
GS-630 Imaging/Visual OTA.
8"(200mm), f/5, 2" M-CRF OTA reflector has 2" Crayford style 10:1 microfocuser w/1.25" adaptor, primary mirror cooling fan, 8x50 finderscope and large collimation knobs. (200mm x 1000mm).
Inc. wide cast tube rings with guide scope mounting points.
This scope is less than one year old and is in like new condition. Modifications include the addition of a fan baffle inside the tube to direct airflow over the mirror surface and enclosing of the rear of the scope to provide better fan ducting flow.
This scope was my imaging scope until I completed the build of my new 10" imaging scope. The GS630 can be used as either an imaging or visual scope (with the included 35mm extension tube). Photos of the scope are attached.
Price for this excellent scope is $300 (a new one from Andrews will cost you $449 plus shipping), so it represent excellent value. It can be picked up at present location: Lake Macquarie NSW; or shipped anywhere in Australia at the buyers expense. Please supply post code if you would like a transport quote (most likely road freight via Interparcel, and it should be around $35-45 anywhere).
