Slightly over-processed Moon from 3rd Jan

The Moon from last night (3rd Jan, 2015). I've been trying to process this all day but I can't squeeze any more out of it. Single image at 1/800th of a second.

Great job Cam. It's beautifully sharp and you've got some stunning colours going on. Is it colour saturated? What program(s) did you use to to process it. I don't think It's over processed at all. What are the capture details?

Hi Ralph. I used a 6" F/5 Bintel Newt, Nikon D5100 and IDAS LPF. Single ISO 800, 1/800th second image.

I processed it in Adobe Photoshop. Can't recall all the things I did in the end to get it right, but mostly it revolved around processing the luminance channel separately and blending the sharpened high-pass image back with itself.

I always push the vibrancy up a little with my Moon shots. Colour saturated? I actually pulled the saturation back a little bit because there appeared to be excess reddening near the terminator.

After having a look at some colour saturated moon images it looks like the reddening is real. According to google, the red is caused by low amounts of Titanium and the blue in mare tranquillitatis is high amounts of Titanium.
