Goto Alt-AZ mounts

Hi looking at these two mounts, Ioptron Minitower pro and Sky-Watcher AZ-EQ6 for convenient solar and night time viewing and seeing if anyone has good/bad points on either.
Pricewise the Sky-Watcher AZ-EQ6 is dearer but close enough to consider {if you factor in including the additional pier with the minitower} and most reviews I have seen have been pretty positive. The minitower looks good too but have seen a number of articles about modifying it to perform better or make it more convenient.
Haven't seen either mount in the flesh but the Sky-Watcher AZ-EQ6 seems to be a little less cramped for viewing and maybe quieter and the minitower has the portability advantage
Any input appreciated.....cheers

Phil (issdaol) wrote an excellent article about the MT Pro he bought a while back.

Personally I have only used the MT Pro once and did very well with a Tak FS60CSV and a Baader Herschel Wedge on solar viewing.
