id required (observing challenge attached)

for those that have access to some sort of sky atlas...

I was looking around in grus the other night and cme across a galaxy above ngc 7496.
i have included a map. the green X marks the spot...

can anyone tell me what the galaxy was and what mag it was?

You purposely waited until I had closed CDC before asking that didn't you!!

Fire up CDC again ..... find NGC 7476 ..... Cut and paste from CDC ......

heres a pic of it... i didnt take it

all you small scope owners heres a challenge for ya go seek it out!

it was naught but a averted vision blob to me!

a central dim stariness with an outter fuzz.

the galaxy is mag 12.6 as stated but its surface brightness isnt too different due to its small size.
