I posted this image because i think could be interesting for someone. A wide view of M33 galaxy in triangulum. After M31 and our galaxy the biggest of local group:
Lovely piece of work Leonardo. Well done. This object is too far north for me. At +30 dec it would not even clear the roof. I was most interested to see that it would fit really nicely on a QSI sensor when using an FSQ106. Pity I cannot get it but this is a very nice alternative to imaging it myself.
Excellent rendition and lovely colours Leo. I too wish I could have a genuine crack at this galaxy with the big 16803 chip on my AG12 but it just doesn't get high enough for me from 35degS to really have a chance at doing it justice ...so looking at fine examples like yours here will just have to do
Great image Leo. Very nice processing and good colour detail. I tried this many years ago when I was young and foolish and didn't worry about imaging through the murk on the horizon. Didn't work too well.
Geoff.
Thanks to all for the comments. Happy you liked it.
Since it is a difficult subject from your latitude I leave a link to the individual RAW channels (L-R-G-B). The luminance was calibrated with CCDStack and integrated with PI. The colors are to be assembled (1:1:1). There's a bad gradient due to street lamps placed at 40 meters from the telescope but you can remove with DBE tools.
