Adding to NGC 253 now at 40mins

The 5 x 3min unguided subs worked well so I added 3 x 5 min subs and also pushed the limit of unguided subs for my setup with a single 10 min sub which gave nice detail but caused bloated stars, I think for unguided I need to stay below 5 mins.

NGC 253

5 x 3 min subs at iso 1600 (unguided)
3 x 5 min subs at iso 1600 (unguided)
1 x 10 min sub at iso 800 (unguided)

12" Meade LX200gps at f6.3 (alt/az De-rotated setup)
Sony Nex-5n Full Spectrum Modified

Processed in DSS, Startools and Gimp

very nice image. And yes maybe the 10 min cause distortion of the shape of stars. The galaxy is very sharp, with many details and good color. Beautiful photo !

note: perhaps there are more 5 or 6 faint galaxies. I think it worths try with 30 up to 100 3 min subs. You can adjust the position of galaxy manually (manual guiding). If they are near, the DSS will stack them. And the displacement will reduce the noise.
Maybe with less ISO to don't saturate the stars, that make all them white.
