Ngc6544 m8 m20 m21

A bit of a quickie this one. Only 24 minutes after discarding the worst frames. 3 minute subs.

This is my first processing attempt with a new technique for me where I use the best sub as the base for a layer mask. I'm also boosting the saturation I normally use in DSS. I think that way I need to play less in Photoshop.

Edit: changed pictures to a lower res version so it wasn't JPEG'd so hard.

Copying George, but in reverse; same comments as for the quickie.

Another nice quickie. Is this with the IDAS filter Cam or straight through?

This is with the IDAS filter Kevin. These guys were right down in the murk, so I've had to do a fair bit to make the background even.

I've attached my older attempt at this region 50x 2minutes. It also used the IDAS filter, but sadly lacked flats - then I deleted the original subs... oops.

It shows you how much blue comes through I think.

Nice one Cam, one of my favourite areas of the sly.
