Upgrade Canon 1100D firmware to 1.0.5

Hi All.

Just got myself a Canon 1100D. It currently is running firmware version 1.0.4. Should I upgrade to 1.0.5? Normally I would upgrade to a newer version without thinking but I would prefer to get the advice of those that have already upgraded to this version.

Thank you

I normally do it without thinking....and I still do

Newer is better right, even if it fixes bugs on features you never use!

btw - these are the patch notes:

This firmware update (Version 1.0.5) incorporates the following improvements and fixes.

  1. Fixes a phenomenon in which the AF does not function and the shutter cannot be released during Live view shooting when the Speedlite 270EX II is attached.
  2. Corrects wording in the Italian and Portuguese language menu screens.
I upgraded my 1100D so that I could run Magic Lantern and muck around with dual ISO shooting
