bearing grease?

Hi All,

I have a Vixen GPD2 that was in storage for several years before I bought it last year. I also have an EQ6 and I find that the EQ6 moves far more freely than the GPD2 when I release the clamps and move it by hand, so I suspect the grease in the bearings has dried out and become sticky.

Can anyone recommend a suitable grease (and where to get it) to re-lube the bearings please?

Thanks a lot,
Ross...

I tend to use any white lithium grease -available most auto/hardware shops
for a more specific product I like bicycle grease (its thinner than most car type greases & is very good-though not cheap for a small tube)

Here's another one. Waterproof marine bearing grease from good auto parts suppliers.

Bearing grease?

Hi chaps,

Thanks for the recommendations.
I'll hunt them up and see what I can get locally.

Cheers,
Ross...
