Just seeing what I can get fone to do hopefully it works..just a taste for the thing the girl and I may do..uploading that is.

The point being once poverty meant so many musical instrument were home made from what was on hand. The cigar box guitar was actually their version of a banjo.
But with a pick up they 50 watt amp it will perl the paint off the wall.
It is timed open in a chord
I like E
I use a spark plug socket spanner on second finger and a steel single pick
It works well with no pick or three picks.

When The Wailing Rude Boys got together back in the early 60's in Trench Town in Jamaica, Isaac Livingstone made a similar one, but with a sardine tin instead of a cigar box. I think it was 4-string. He used some copper wire that he had scrounged, for the strings.

Livingstone and his two friends, Peter Mackintosh and Bob Marley, then formed The Wailers. Funny where big careers come from simple starts.

Livingstone is still going strong, but is now known as Bunny Wailer.

I have seen some interesting ones since I took mine on
When I got it I did not think many about but of course get on utube there is a cult.like following.. single.string to four string...
I get little crowd at a pub or party cause of the novelty..
I put this up to get some stories going from members with takes like those you posted..thanks for inPut
