carbon wrap

Poor man's CF look. (never did like the SW gold)
Reno time, so i gave my ED80 a facelift.
DIY carbon/f look.
easy to apply, good look for rejuvenating scratched tubes i think.
Took app 20 mins to do.

Yup the Skywatcher colours are love or hate.
You can tell by how many people change them , personally I'm not a fan of the blue or gold versions
I had a Vixen in white I liked that
Also how is your finder attached to the rings , because the finder base doesn't fit to the gso focuser very well I found with mine (wrong shape)

MAJOR improvement!!!

Skywatcher colours are just gad awful - the light metallic blue had to be the worst, followed by the gold. I am also NOT a fan of the black diamond monstrosity either.

Give me a clean off-white gloss tube any day of the week, accented with blue, red or black trimmings.

Yes, David the GSO focuser is a **** to mount any finder base i've found, bit of an oversight on their part, i do have a gen GSO finder base mount, but still very weak mounting point. Simply drill & tap 2 holes in your tube rings to suit your finder base, might need to file the base legs a little to suite the curvature. And make sure the screws are not too long that they push into the tube when you tighten them down.
