Lagoon Nebula

A shot of the Lagoon Nebula taken last month.

Equipment used: Skywatcher ED120, QHY12, 60mm guider w/ Atik Titan mono camera on AZ-EQ6 GT mount. Orion 0.80x focal reducer and Baader UHC-S filter also used in this shot.

10 x 4min exposures, 50 darks, 50 bias.

The subject needs to be bit more centered, but still looks good.

Agreed, Chris...will take better note of that in future sessions.

I have updated both this image and the image of Trifid I uploaded yesterday after discovering that on Gamma correct displays (set to the industry standard of 1.22), they appear washed out and over stretched.
