ZEUS - Jupiter 16Jan2014

Hi all,

This is the first time I'm posting in this section. I gave Jupiter a go on the night of 15/16 January and ended up with a few images I'm very happy with... best I managed to fluke so far, so I thought I'd share.

The equipment used are a Celestron 2X Barlow and a 2.5X TV powermate, Imaging source DMK 21au618, Wratten #25, 47 and 58 for RGB filters and a Baader Moon and Skyglow filter inform of the CCD. All on a Nexstar 8SE.

Thanks for the compliments guys. Just goes to show that the atmospheric conditions can make or break the image no matter what equipment is used.

I just wish I had the GRS in shot that night... hopefully the next outing will be just as clear and have the GRS facing us.
