An open thankyou.

I would like to openly thank Jackenau (aka Ken) for his hospitality lastnight.

I went around Ken's place to have a look through his BT302, very nice telescope by the way. We also had a look through his Televue Nagler, nice EP aswell. Looked at various objects, some new to Ken. Took me a little while to get used to the very frictioned dob base and Telrad. After being used to mine (on bearings) and no telrad. It was a good night. I was lucky enough to borrow the Nagler, but my focuser wont accept it, I am moving the Primary forward in the tube by about 25mm-50mm this should give me enough to fit the EP in the focuser. Quite a simple procedure of unscrewing the collmination bolts by the required amount, handy having the extra play.

Again thanks Ken.

Thanks Andrew, it was a brief but rewarding experience and only goes to reinforce what this forum is all about. "sharing ones knowledge and ones equipment.

Now I know some of the names of what I have been looking at. Always new they were called something else.

Just as a quicky,

I have been out using the 16mm Nagler tonight, amazing EP. A few objects were the Jewlbox, Blue Planetary, NGC 2169, eta carina and keyhole nebula, a few open clusters, Omega Centauri, Tuk47 the usual glossys. Saturn looked magical, very clear. I will try Jupiter later. Can only imagine what a 6mm Nagler would be like.

Very nice EP Ken.
