Exceptional Astro Physics 80mm 900mm Refractor

It's time to move on some of the gear that I have that will simply never get used

You will not see gear like this advertised on I In S anytime soon, this is an exceptional once off opportunity for you to purchase something exceptional

Details:

Roland Christen Astro Physics 80mm f900mm late 1980's refractor

This unit is gorgeous, and it's performance is stunning

It's condition is excellent, I have cared for this unit as I care for all my scopes, it suits a new buyer

Why am I selling it, simple, I have a Carl Zeiss AS80 80mm f1200 Need I say more

A new unit ? - Don't be silly, they don't exist They don't make them at this exceptional quality level these days

Dear team,

Thank you for your feedback. I know the Nihon Seiko units you refer to, they are an excellent telescope. They are indeed Japanese.

This telescope is not a Nihon Seiko unit, it is a USA Astro Physics unit. It was one of Roland's personal collection until it was pried from his hands by the collector that I bought it from. He only got it as he is a major collector (2nd largest telescope collection globally) and knows Roland. I got it from him in a swap (part of the costs for a telescope I was making for him, with another [larger] scope) for a hand crafted refractor that I made for him.

The Japanese AP units were excellent, but this unit is not one of them, this is a Yankee May I suggest this unit is a better telescope (with the most upmost respect for the excellent Nihon's).

Trust this assists.

Cris,
