I thought I'd have a peek tonight

My good wife is away tonight (she's doing a horticultural course and this weekend is one of her practical does). Ripper! says he, I can turn off the house lights and the television and partake of an evening - until it becomes too cold for a softie like me - of observing.

Ha, ha, b****y ha.

Attached is a pic of my current situation. It looks like bed and a book yet again.

Thanks, Andrew; Thanks, Tony. It makes me feel better that I'm not alone.

A friend has lent me a 6 DVD set of something-or-other - I think I feel an afternoon of decadence and a few beers coming on. If this fog lifts I suspect I won't be in a state to cart the thing outside.

Ah well, pleasure is as pleasure does.

Its the same here John and just started to drizzle about hour ago and rain expected tonight
On the plus side the rain will put pay to any burnoff fires in the Astro Fest
area and clean the Atmosphere.
Forecast at the moment is for fine Monday depends on how fast the Weather system clears out to sea

Regards
Dave

John looks just like the view out of my window.

Chance to finally finish watching the boxsets I bought of one of my favourites from American TV of the 80s.

I'm not complaining about the rain, heaven knows we all need it - but the timing is atrocious.

My son lives in your area 33South. I tried to 'phone him to see whether or not it was some form of temperature inversion (meaning, of course, that you lot could well have been in the clear). He wasn't available - probably down the local shed - and you've solved that query anyway.

Right. I'm off to view Reilly: Ace of Spies. OK: heater (check), grog (check), cats fed (check), missing missus (check), 'scope secure (check), 25 year old Swedish blonde with good figure and personality (missing). Ah well, you can't win 'em all.

Good afternoon and good seeing at the Astro Fest you lot up north.

Forget the missing personality - who needs one with a good figure...

I am also assuming you are referring to the figure of her 10" f6 Newtonian? 1/10th wave eh?

Cheers
