Comet ISON, Brisbane, 8th Nov

At 13 degrees elevation 3:33am local Brisbane time, with astronomical twilight starting 7 minutes earlier, Comet ISON is not proving an easy object to image.
100% crop of stack of 15x 30sec exposures, 200mm f/2.8, Canon EOS 600D ISO 6400.

Thanks for looking,

Tom

Wow Tom, you’ve really had to dig this one out of the horizon – what dedication! The tail is quite distinct given the crud you’d have been shooting through.

Cheers

Good shooting. The elevation is getting more difficult every day now.

Fantastic Tom I had a go with the scope, but twilight won the race. Might try the Lens also, F2.8 could be advantages to the slower f/rat of the scope, tomoro would be very last chance and cloud is approaching fast Cheers for the post, I'd be very happy with that. Job well done
