Mars 23rd October 2013

Mars at 2 AU from Earth. 4.7 arseconds in size. IR filter used on a full spectrum modified Canon EOS 600D with 5x Powermate on the 12" Skywatcher Dobsonian telescope. The North polar ice cap is at left.

Colours are achieved by setting the polar cap as white. Original colours as captured by camera (auto white balance) also attached as an image.

Thanks for looking,

Tom
