eye piece question from beginner

Hi all,

I have a reflector with the focal length 750mm. I would like to confirm the eyepiece with 5mm focal length and 3.8 still have a "huge" or at least significantly difference in terms of viewing and magnification? Thanks

Yes, the difference in magnification (150x vs 200x) will be quite significant. Both sit towards the upper end of the magnification scale.

Cheers
Steffen.

And if your using standard Plossl eyepieces with a 50 degree apparent field of view your true field of view in those eyepieces will be quite small.

The 5mm eyepiece will show a field of view of about 0.33 of a degree. The 3.8mm will show about 0.25 of a degree.
