Semi deep Orion

Another Target I spent a little time on with QHY = (Quenching-Harmonious-Yieldings ) 1st light from Leyburn's Bob'servatory.
This Orion is only quick grab, testing, would love to do bunch of longer exposures with a much wider field for the massive amount of fainter dust but at this F/L & max of 10min subs with a handful of shorter exposures for core, Im really impressed & stoked at the same time, in saying that, my processing can do with further attension/practice etc, but the responce of this camera is insane

Image collection: 3x60sec, 5x240secs & 10x600secs QHY-10 OSC
Gear: Neq6p, 10" F4.7 Newt, ED80 Guide with SSAG & Phd.
Process: Fitts into DSS with 32bit tiff output, some tweeks in CS3 before converting to 16bit for further refining.

Nice image Bob. Like the colours and you got the core nicely blended in.

Thanx Greg, blending is a very enjoyable part of processing and seeing it come together in the last stages

You must have been up in the wee hours to capture that one this time of year!

A beauty of an image indeed Bob. Nice HDR work. image processing has worked out very well. I've got a similar FOV and are looking forward to doing Orion too. It looks ideal for printing onto a canvas, hung on the wall.
