First guided images NGC55 NGC253

First guided images with the QHY5L-II and orion mini guide scope, taken from rural skies over the last couple of weekends.

NGC 55 45 minutes ( 9 x 5 minute subs) @ ISO 800
NGC 253 39 minutes (13 x 3 minute subs) @ ISO 400

SW BD ED120, Nikon D7000.
Bias, flats and darks used.

I really struggled to get focus on NGC 253 despite slewing to Fomalhaut and focusing with the Bahtinov mask.

I was a bit zealous with the dithering on NGC 55 - I think I was dithering about 30 pixels on each sub, having forgotten the hand controller on 2x speed. NGC 55 ended up in the corner in a few frames.

Also noticed that Synscan on the NEQ6 lists NGC 55 as the Sculptor galaxy in SkyTour mode (rather than NGC 253).

I'm still trying to figure out the sweet spot on the camera hence the different ISOs. ISO 400 seems to be less noisy even with the shorter subs.

Thanks for lookin'
