Here's the DMK's second light from last night, in fluctuating seeing from 4/10 up to 8/10. I threw the 4/10 avi's away. Here's some from moments of 7-8/10.
Still having problems with 30fps, but i'm torn between trying to fix it and getting out there and capturing photons at 15fps. Last night I chose to capture data anyway. I need some cloudy nights to work out the 30fps issue
The big image is using the extension tube with the 5x powermate, the other 2 are the 5x powermate with the DMK pulled out as far as it will go. The big image is so big, it's really difficult to keep it in the FOV with my tracking. It's a constant fight and sometimes meaning joining a few avi's together before processing them. I want your mount Dennis!
I might try resampling the bigger one too and see how it holds up.
The DMK is definitely more sensitive and less noisy than the ToUcam, and there are literally no compression artifacts or onion rings. I'm really going to enjoy creating colour images once I get over the frustration of RGB imaging.
At 30fps it'll be even better.
I've got some ToUcam images from last night too that i'm halfway through processing.
NO! It's still in the box waiting for an adapter and firewire cable. And then If the computer doesn't power the camera guess I will have to wait longer for a power adapter.

Been following your little advanture for a while. Well done on your second attempt at Jupiter . The DMK is a great camera, I am seriously thinking of selling my Lumenera colour camera and go monochrome. Now for some advice, from my experence with the Lumenera you will find that you frame rate will very. It will depend on the frame rate select, resolution, brightness of the image, region of interest (ROI) etc. For example if I go for 15fps with the Lumenera and draw a ROI box around the target I can generally get frame rate between 15fps to as high as 37fps.
When imaging Jupiter I use a 10"SCT @ f30 I generally draw a ROI box around the target (ususally 400x400) and capture at about 17 to 20fps. I usually get 1600 plus frames in 90 sec.

Anthony, I think you will do great with a mono Lu. It's not cheap though, by the time you get filter wheel + filters. Plus it's more effort in both capture and processing. So you need to decide if it's right for you.
The DMK has a ROI feature but I believe it SOFTWARE ROI and not hardware - so I don't think it increases the framerate because it still has to pull the whole frame down before applying the ROI feature.
That's one of the benefits of the LU.
Secondly, my tracking isn't accurate enough to be able to make use of an ROI feature unfortunately. The planet moves all about the 640x480 FOV during my 2 minute capture
Have you had a look at the new SkyNYX (or whatever they're called) cameras? Damian Peach is selling his Infinity 2-1 camera on Astromart cause he's now got this new one, he reckons it's even more sensitive with less noise than the previous one. They're not cheap though.

Have been looking at and drooling lot over the Mono SkyNYX for some month now, it is a serious contender as my new planetary camera (should have purchase the LU075 mono in the first place). I problem will be put the Lumenera Colour Camera up for sale with in the next month or so.
Bugga about the 15fps, BUT, i have to stop myself and remember that this is 3x faster than your normal captures and uncompressed!!!!
Detail is great and of course I prefer the extension tube one. BIG BIG BIG
I can't wait for saturn and then joop again in early hours of morning, there will be some great cameras around, cooling issues are being addressed, collimation is std, we will have jupiter in a high position and we can then put our image scales and resamples up against the best of the best and see how we are going!
